I have not blogged in a while, to be honest I had thought about just not bothering full stop. There is a certain self importance that I attach to blogging that assumes that other people might want to know what I think. Why would they? If I was that insightful I’d get paid [...]

This was the moment?

I’m watching Barack Obama making his pitch to the American people. He is proposing jobs, health care and education, he acknowledges his limits. He attacks McCain for going to Iraq and not the cities and towns which have been hit by the economic problems. It is inspiring and it is impressive stuff. The issue is [...]

We have all (who are interested in politics, the US and our own general welfare) watched and waited for the results. John McCain came through early,in relation to the Democrats, in the primary race seeing off my original favourite Rudolph Giuliani with ease, then Mitt Romney and finally without much fan-fayre Mike Huckerbee. The [...]

Barack Obama is, according to almost every news source going, this evening on the verge of claiming the Democratic Party’s nomination for President. I was, as has been said here previously, really hoping that the Dem fight would go to the convention. The race has been long (Clinton and Obama starting in early 2007), and [...]

Last nights vote in Indiana was closer than I thought and the Clinton campaign looks as though it is starting to founder. Has Obama done what he failed to complete on Super Tuesday? Has he demolished the most formidable Democrat election machine since the Kennedy era? We shall see.
Update – Just spotted a comment on [...]

There has been a hell of a lot of talk recently about how Clinton cannot possibly win against John McCain come November’s general election. However this evenings exit polls are posing some awkward questions for Barack Obama’s campaign. CNN is reporting that (yeah, I realise that this could be somewhat skewed);
According to early exit polls, [...]

Mike Smithson over at politicalbetting.com has posted a short article on an attack ad being run by the N. Carolina GOP, the attack ad is included in the article. The add highlights Barack Obama’s relations with his now infamous Pastor Wright. McCain is apparently trying to shut it down, but will the N. Carolina GOP [...]
Why proportionality does not work

We have over the past few weeks and months seen the ongoing saga of Clinton vs Obama, with the odd irritating interruption from John Edwards (if you don’t know who he is try searching “irritating anti-capitalist hack from the South” in Google) and Ted Kennedy (the one that didn’t get shot). What has kept the [...]

Above: Clinton before the operation (left) and then afterwards (right)
It has emerged through top secret DNC sources that Sen. Hillary Clinton has had plastic surgery in order to try and pass herself off as her rival Sen. Barack Obama. Mrs. Clinton apparently has such a fear of losing she has decided that the only way [...]

Alright, so I haven’t blogged anything for a while…. a long while if I’m fair and even then it wasn’t exactly in line with what it says on the banner of the site. For this I apologise, I have frankly been far too busy, but I have set aside a few minutes now to get [...]
