Apparently Labour backbenchers are running round Westminster trying to determine whether Gordon and his henchmen have screwed the Labour rebels and whether they are in fact more or less reneging on the deal made only yesterday. If this is true then it could be curtains for the man going for the prize of Biggest bastard since Richard III ending up like the last English King killed in battle, shot (politically) dead in the field calling for an escape route.
