Having just got in from an R.A.F. presentation at the Hilton in Bradford, where there was an exceptionally pretty girl from the University Air Squadron, followed by a few pints in the local pubs (minus said pretty girl). I have returned to find my fears come true, Rudy has withdrawn from the race for the G.O.P. candidacy for the Oval Office. He has endorsed John McCain, something I feel much easier about than his staying quiet. The idea of Romney getting the nomination is frankly sickening, the man has next to no skills in personable relations and is basically running off the fact that he was s fairly successful businessman for a few years. My other problem with Romney has been amplified in the last week or two with his disturbing attacks on the other candidates. Whatever mistakes Rudy made, he did not run a negative campaign. The fact that he could have been doomed from the beginning (due to his strategy) is a point which will undoubtedly be discussed in political science class’ for years to come.
John Edwards has also left the scene following his non-support in his native South. Probably for the best as the man is a nut and would perhaps be even more terrifying than a Clinton White House… God forbid!
“minus said pretty girl” But with two mates!
With two very good and valued mates
